The ESSM organization is responsible for providing strategic sourcing and supplier management for a defined portfolio of IT suppliers.
The role of the ESSM Contract & Performance Analyst is to collaborate with the Contract and Performance Manager on the day-to-day contract administration & performance management of the supplier agreement(s) on an ongoing basis. S/he is responsible for adhering to all ESSM processes to ensure Suppliers are in compliance with contract terms and monitoring the achievement of value intended from the sourcing arrangement. S/he is also responsible for having a comprehensive and thorough understanding of assigned supplier contracts.
The ESSM Contract & Performance Analyst will monitor the fulfillment of contractual obligations by each contracting party and oversee correspondence between contracting parties. S/he will also facilitate assessments of the Suppliers' compliance with all contractual provisions and will be responsible for creating, maintaining and managing access to the ESSM contract documentation library.
The ESSM Contract & Performance Analyst is responsible for monitoring SLA performance and supporting resolution efforts when issues arise. Additionally, the ESSM Contract/Performance Analyst tracks and reports the level of attainment of continuous improvement obligations on the part of Johnson & Johnson's Suppliers and any corrective measures needed to resolve material service deficiencies. S/he prepares periodic plans and performance metrics for the delivery of services by the Suppliers, and prepares regular reports that monitor and evaluate Supplier performance.
The ESSM Contract and Performance Analyst coordinates with Johnson & Johnson and suppliers to establish and measure KPIs and other performance metrics that add value to the relationship and support continuous service improvement, under the guidance and direction of the Contract and Performance Manager
He/she will be responsible for adhering to all documented processes and interfacing with other resources in ESSM, as needed, to accomplish the objectives. Identify areas for possible improvement in the contract administration and performance management processes. Assist with the development and implementation of performance & contract improvement plans for supplier contracts and reports on their achievement. Interface with Johnson & Johnson IT Business Partners in relation to contract administration and performance management. Work with Contract and Performance Manager to ensure appropriate processes are followed including the completion of all appropriate tracking documents. Analyze data gathered to gauge performance against service levels and key performance indicators. Coordinate with suppliers, survey conductors, and Johnson & Johnson IT Business Partners in the planning and execution of bi-annual customer satisfaction surveys, and applicable service review meetings with Johnson & Johnson operations service delivery managers. Escalate performance and contract problems and issues as they arise, and as warranted, in keeping with ESSM processes including the completion of all appropriate tracking documents. Prepare the monthly consolidation and reporting of supplier delivery performance, and the results of continuous performance improvement plans. Coordinate with suppliers and Johnson & Johnson operations service delivery managers to understand root causes of critical service failures and underperformance in order to correct service delivery deficiencies. Facilitate proactive contract expirations and renewals to Portfolio Directors/Managers to optimize implementation of portfolio strategies. Develops and refines contract guides for the members of the Johnson & Johnson IT operating teams / service delivery organizations that explain the contract in laymans terms, and ensure that the knowledge of the contract is expanded to those who are impacted by it. Develops, defines, documents and establishes appropriate communication to Johnson & Johnson service and business partner stakeholders on the contractual obligations for all services provided throughout the supplier contracts. Assists with the coordination and execution of contract compliance assessments and developing/tracking remediation plans for audit deficiencies. Maintains an in-depth understanding of supplier contracts (those assigned), to the extent that one would be considered the in-house expert on the assigned contracts. Provides subject matter expertise and support on supplier contracts as required for all key initiatives. Provides interpretations of contractual obligations to Johnson & Johnson unit resources, including contract education and awareness. Proactively monitoring key delivery problems or changes and any disputes, ensuring that written agreements with Suppliers are updated to reflect the current state of service delivery and obligations of the parties. Monitors and reports on Johnson & Johnson and Supplier compliance with all contract deliverables (e.g. policy and procedures manual, monthly files and reports, development and implementation of methodologies, etc.) Proactively monitor key service delivery performance, identifying needed action when problems arise, and ensuring the business viability of targeted service levels and client satisfaction metrics.
Qualifications
A Bachelor's degree is required. A degree in Business, Technology/Systems or related discipline is preferred. A minimum of 2 years experience in business, IT service operations or IT sourcing environment with experience relative to similar roles in IT is required. Experience in areas of supplier relationships, contract and performance management is preferred. Demonstrated problem solving and analytical skills. Strong attention to detail, accuracy; process oriented. Strong expertise in the area of metrics development/measurement. Highly flexible and adaptable to change. Global/international experience or exposure a plus. Strong people/interpersonal skills.
