The IT Lead, SAP SEM-BPS will be responsible for production support and enhancements in the SEM-BPS area and must have extensive technical knowledge with hands on experience. The candidate will work closely with the business partners to support their needs in the financial area. Financial planning experience is highly desirable. This person needs to have excellent problem solving skills to be able to resolve issues in a quick and timely matter. Candidate must be able to interpret user needs and translate them into a technical solution. This includes end to end design requirements, functional specifications, configuration, testing strategies, and implementation of system solution.
The applicant will be working as part of a COE team that supports Janssen Pharma R&D SAP platform.
The IT Lead, SAP SEM-BPS will be responsible for performing the following tasks: Create and design planning layouts (excel and Web), planning functions (standard and custom) based in ABAP/FOX; Create different types of variables including variable Exits, Exit Functions, and Formula Functions to support the various elements of the business process for planning. These include Copy, Delta distribution, Revaluation, and Repost; Configure multi Planning Area, Planning Area, Levels, Packages, Sequences, Data Slice, and Characteristic Relationships; Create and maintain Business Server Pages (BSP) application for BPS uploads using ABAP language; Combine Actual and Plan data seamlessly into Planning Layouts using Dynamic Characteristics and Variables, and rolling forecast using delta and distribution functions.
Qualifications
A minimum of a Bachelor's Degree is required. A minimum of 8 years of hands-on experience in SAP BW/BI is required. A minimum of 1 year of experience in SAP SEM-BPS is required. Full knowledge on data modeling to design and configure various types of data providers, InfoObjects, Master Data concepts, etc. is required. Good knowledge on performance and optimization concepts from a design and maintenance perspective is required. Reporting experience is preferred. Experience in process improvements using innovative and complex design is required. Experience in handling different types of currencies and how to convert and maintain them is required. Experience in SAP BW 3.0B with B-CONT, BI 7.0, and BI 7.3 with Bex Analyzer are required. Experience with at least one upgrade and two full implementation projects is required. Knowledge in Business Planning and Consolidation (BPC) and TM1 is preferred. Candidate must have strong verbal and written communication skills, as well as excellent analytical and problem-solving skills. Experience collaborating in a cross-functional team environment is required. Global experience is preferred.
